Dramatic moments from the apartment complex near the QSUT, which was engulfed in flames this afternoon, causing panic among residents of the area.
The fire is reported to have broken out on one of the floors of the building, while smoke quickly spread throughout the building.
Meanwhile, footage has been released of residents trying to quickly escape the burning building. Among them, a mother running with a baby in her arms and an elderly woman stand out.
Several firefighting forces are at the scene, but the circumstances of how the fire broke out, which burned the entire exterior of the apartment, remain unclear.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries so far, but significant material damage.
