Footage of yesterday's police operation against Call Centers has been released. According to the police announcement, 12 premises were raided, which were suspected of being used to defraud citizens from EU countries. The footage clearly shows that many employees were caught red-handed.
With decision no. 3410 dated 13.04.2026, the Court of Tirana allowed the search of 3 entities in Tirana, as well as 9 apartments of citizens suspected of being involved in this criminal activity. During the intervention, citizens employed as operators were found in these premises, committing computer fraud.
Following the procedural actions, at the request of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, 5 out of 7 security measures "Arrest in prison" were executed. Specifically, this measure was executed for citizens ED, 47 years old, MH, 23 years old, TA, 22 years old, LT, 32 years old and Xh. M., 28 years old. With the same measure, citizens Xh. H., 30 years old and ML, 28 years old, were declared wanted.
Further, the security measures "Prohibition on leaving the country" and "Obligation to report to the judicial police" were executed for citizen AV, 33 years old. Meanwhile, citizen LC, 25 years old, was declared wanted with the same measures.
Following the "Ghost Call" operation, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto: KB, 38 years old, EH, 26 years old, BB, 25 years old, KD, 25 years old and ET, 32 years old, and citizen DJ, 24 years old, was declared wanted. Thus, bringing the number of those arrested to 10.
The investigative actions revealed that these citizens had leadership roles in the teams involved in this activity.
