A house thief has been arrested in the city of Durrës. 33-year-old Andrea Shahai stole a Turkish woman's apartment. The latter reported to the police, while the young man had managed to steal two mobile phones and a quantity of money from the apartment.
After that, he entered another apartment to steal. But here he encountered resistance from the owner, whom he punched.
But the Blues of Durrës managed to arrest him in the act. For him, the criminal offenses "Theft" and "Theft with violence" remain pending.
"The structures of the Crime Investigation of the Durrës Police Station, as a result of quick investigative actions, have made it possible to unravel the theft of the apartment of a Turkish citizen, resident in neighborhood no. 14 Durrës, identifying the suspected perpetrator. The Police Services have been searching for the author, where during the checks for his capture, they received information that the suspected author of the theft had entered another apartment to steal.
Based on this information and the phone call made by the owner of the apartment, the police services arrived in real time at the apartment of citizen FA, where they caught and handcuffed the citizen in the act: Andrea Shahai, 33 years old, resident of neighborhood no. 7, Durres.
From the first investigations, it turned out that this citizen, in an attempt to steal, punched the citizen FA, but the timely intervention of the Police made it possible to prevent the theft and the further escalation of this case. "The 33-year-old man is suspected of having stolen two mobile phones and a sum of money from the apartment of a 31-year-old woman from Turkey living in Durrës," the police announced.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office of the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction for further actions.
