Tirana police have arrested 3 people accused of theft, in two different operations.
A 36-year-old man with the initials VC, and OR, 44, were arrested after stealing a motorcycle and valuables. The motorcycle was found and seized by police.
Also, a 25-year-old man with the initials LB was arrested for committing the same criminal offense in two markets.
The police are working to solve other cases, while the investigative materials have been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office.
"Two more operations to solve several thefts committed in the territories of Police Stations No. 1 and No. 3, during the month of January, 2026, are being finalized in 24 hours."
Three citizens who committed thefts in entities, as well as stealing vehicles and valuables, were located, captured and arrested.
Following the investigative work, carried out immediately after reports from citizens and administrators of entities, for theft of property/assets, the services under the Tirana Local Police Directorate finalized in 24 hours, 2 other operations to crack down on this criminal activity. Specifically:
-as part of the "Partners" operation, the services of the Police Commissariat No. 3 arrested citizens VC, 36 years old, and OR, 44 years old, on suspicion of having stolen a motorcycle on Kavaja Street, as well as having stolen valuables from the apartment of citizen KZ. The stolen motorcycle was found and seized as material evidence;
-as part of the "Articles" operation, the services of Police Commissariat No. 1 arrested citizen LB, 25 years old, suspected of having stolen from 2 markets, on 13.01.2026 and yesterday.
Work is underway to uncover other thefts that these citizens may have committed.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced.
