Two people have been arrested by police, accused of stealing sums of money from an apartment and a vehicle in a village in Kavaja.
According to the police, Nazim Liçi and Gentina Gjyzeli were arrested.
Nazmi Liçi was declared wanted by the Elbasan DVP, after the Elbasan Court assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense of "Theft by force", committed in collaboration. This citizen, in December 2024, left the premises of the Elbasan DVP. Last week he is suspected of taking refuge in the apartment of citizen G. Gjyzeli.
"Kavajë/The police operation codenamed "Precedente" is finalized. Thefts committed by 2 citizens were uncovered. They stole sums of money from an apartment and a vehicle in a village in Kavajë, the 2 suspected perpetrators are in handcuffs.
One of the arrested, with a significant criminal record in the field of theft, was wanted after he left the Elbasan Police Station in 2024, where he had been arrested for a theft. A sum of money, a vehicle, three mobile phones and clothing used by the perpetrators during the thefts were seized.
As a result of the investigations conducted with the objective of uncovering the thefts and bringing their perpetrators to criminal responsibility, the Kavaja Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Special Operational Force of the Durrës DVP, finalized the police operation codenamed "Precedente", within the framework of which the following citizens were arrested and put in handcuffs: NL, 29 years old, resident of Elbasan and G. Gj., 46 years old, resident of Durrës.
"From the investigations and evidence obtained (including video footage), it has resulted that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, have stolen sums of money from an apartment and a vehicle, in the village of Qerret, Kavaja," the police announced.
