At midnight yesterday in the Zogaj neighborhood, a house was engulfed in flames, which was completely burnt. As a result of the fire, a 52-year-old man lost his life, while his wife was able to get out of the apartment without damage.
A neighbor of the couple whose house burned down has also shown the moments of the fire and the efforts to come to the aid of the couple, where unfortunately the 52-year-old man lost his life while his wife managed to escape.
" At a quarter past 2, my wife came out asking for help. Because only I have a neighbor. You shout, O Riza, O Riza, come on, your husband was burned. The boy came and remained in the yard, saddened, asking for help for his father. I came with my son and my wife, I went up to the stairs to the first floor calling my husband's name, Bahri.
There is no answer. I went up to the second floor, smoke and flames came out in front of me. The boy then came with a friend of his, they went upstairs and were staying up there because of the smoke.
I took the water hose and tried to put out the fire. We called the fire department, they could have come after 40 minutes ,'' said one of the neighbors who tried to help the couple.
