According to the daily newspapers of the time in Italy, the execution of Sali Rapi took place on June 10, 2000 in the town of Borghetto. The main accused for this crime, according to the Court of Savona, was Adrian Besnik the Elder, known as 'Niko', at that time 36 years old, who, taking advantage of the lack of a notice, was able to bring him to justice first. While the second accused was the 28-year-old Xhevdet Plaku, known by the abbreviation 'Deti', who, using this bureaucracy, was able to escape.
According to the accusation, 'Deti', together with Adrian Plaku, had killed Sali Rapi, setting up a well for him and shooting him with two shots in the head. Gunfight during which Alfred Hasa was also seriously injured, where the investigators had their suspicions that the killing occurred as a result of disputes between 'gangs' for what is known as the control of the street prostitution market along Aurelia. But even though he was extradited from Albania to Italy to serve the sentence for the murder of Sali Rapi, in 2003 an unforgivable mistake by the court of Genoa once again released Xhevdet Plaku into premature freedom, thanks to a bureaucratic error.
"He was extradited from Albania because he was responsible for the murder of a compatriot in 2000 in Borghetto Santo Spirito. But since Friday, Xhevdet Plaku, 33 years old, is free again, due to a mistake by the justice bodies. In fact, the Genoese judges of the Court of Review did not receive the trial documents in time from the Court of Assizes, which had issued the order for the security measure in the prison, and they had no choice but to order his release. So the foreigner left the Sant'Agostino prison on Friday shortly after 15:00, with around 280 euros in his pocket and has since disappeared. So the request for the arrest of Deputy Prosecutor Danilo Cecarelli for that brutal crime of June 11, where 32-year-old Sali Rapi was killed with two shots to the head, proved useless.
But the murder of Sali Rapi in Italy in 2000 is not the only one attributed to Xhevdet Plaku. On the evening of June 24, 2003, he is said to have shot and killed citizen Saimir Sina in the village of Sina in Durrës, at the door of his apartment, in front of his brother and a person accompanying him. The whole genesis of the clash between the two friends who then turned into enemies, was born because during the time that Xhevdet Plaku was in Italy, Saimir Sina had deceived his girlfriend, saying that he would take her to him and had used her for his purposes prostitution", the Italian media write.

But Xhevdet Plaku seems not to have forgiven his friend for his betrayal and at the same time the humiliation he caused his girlfriend, taking her out on the street in Italy to become a prostitute. He waited until Saimir Sina was released from prison. And only days after he left the cell, he went to her apartment, where after a short argument, he shot her to death, thus putting in place the defiled honor of his girlfriend, as well as his own. Letting his girlfriend understand that this form of revenge was also a message, that he had no hand in the diabolical plan that Saimir Sina implemented by exploiting her, using Xhevdet's name.

I pandehuri Xhevdet Plaku pasi është vënë në dijeni të veprimeve të Saimir Sinës ndaj të dashurës së tij, ka vendosur të hakmerret, plan të cilin e ka konkretizuar disa ditë pas daljes së Saimirit nga burgu.
Pikërisht më datë 24 Qershor 2003, rreth orës 21.00, pasi e kishte vëzhguar dhe ruajtur për disa ditë me radhë, i pandehuri ka shkuar me makinën e tij tip ‘Seat’ pranë banesës të Saimirit, i cili në atë moment ishte i shoqëruar nga i vëllai dhe disa shokë të tjerë”, thuhet në vendimin e Gjykatës së Lartë.
Sipas dëshmive ka rezultuar se i pandehuri e ka thirrur viktimën dhe pas një debati të shkurtër me fjalë, në momentin kur ai ka marrë rrugën për t’u larguar, Xhevdet Plaku e ka qëlluar tri herë me pistoletën që e mbante pa leje, duke i shkaktuar vdekjen. Por Xhevdet Plaku, ashtu si ka ngritur armën dha ka qëlluar ndaj kundërshtarëve të tij, apo atyre që e tradhtuan, po kështu ka qenë edhe vetë pre e atentateve, ai thuhet se i ka mbijetuar një tjetër atentati, këtë here në Spitallë të Durrësit, prapa të cilit dyshohet se ishin njerëzit e Rexhep Rapit.
Më 20 janar 2001 në lagjen nr.15, Spitallë, Durrës, shtetasi Xhevdet Plaku, i cili udhëtonte me mjetin me targë DR 7853 A, është qëlluar me armë zjarri nga persona të paidentifikuar. Nga provat e grumbulluara në vendngjarje dyshohet se ka pasur një pritë të organizuar nga persona që përdornin mjetin Benz me targë SH 0848 A, kundrejt personit që udhëtonte me mjetin tip Benz me targë DR 7853 A. Mjete këto të gjetura të braktisura në vendin e ngjarjes.
