The socialist mayor of Devoll, Eduard Duro, appeared today at SPAK.
Today, the preliminary hearing was held at the Special Court for the Mayor of Devoll, Eduart Duro, accused of "abuse of office" by the Special Prosecution.
The hearing was postponed after all the defendants, through their lawyers, requested the dismissal of the case, arguing that the criminal fact does not exist. The hearing was postponed to next Friday, January 24, where Eduart Duro's lawyer will present some documents, and then the Special Court will announce the decision to transfer the file to trial.
The investigations into Duro were closed a month ago by SPAK, where the socialist mayor was indicted on the charge of "Abuse of office" for granting a permit for a gas station that was an unauthorized construction.
Duro, the former Commanding Administrator of Bilisht, Vojsava Bregu, and 3 officials of the Devoll Municipality are accused of abuse of office, as according to SPAK, they have illegally licensed a gas station in Bilisht that did not have a permit and for which the IKMT had decided that it would be demolished.
