An Albanian declared internationally wanted has been arrested by police in Durrës, during the operation codenamed "The Wanted".
The operation was carried out by the Section for Operational Support of Investigation at the Durrës Police Department, in cooperation with the "Eagle" Special Force, who managed to locate and arrest in neighborhood no. 1 of the city, citizen Elton Stafa , also known by the identities Elton Zani, Seit Stafa, Sadik Dervishi, Vladi Ymeri and Hasan Ymeri.
The 47-year-old, resident of Shijak, was sentenced by the Court of Appeal in Milan to 5 years and 7 months in prison for the criminal offenses of "Intentional serious injury", "Possession of stolen goods" and "Unlicensed possession of weapons", according to Italian legislation.
Following the arrest, Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome are continuing the procedures for his extradition to Italy.
