Albanian Astrit Hasani, known as "Titi", was injured after a gunfight with Greek police in Mikrolimano, while weapons, grenades and ammunition were found and seized from him.

A gunfight between an Albanian and police in the early hours of this morning rocked the Mikrolimano area in Greece. It is reported that the injured Albanian Astrit Hasani, also known by the nickname "Titi", was injured.

The incident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. when Greek police officers, during a routine patrol, asked 42-year-old Hasani to stop for a check. According to authorities, he attempted to flee and then pulled out his gun and pointed it at the officers.

"The police officers reacted immediately as soon as the Albanian pointed the gun, positioning themselves before shooting ," said Hellenic Police spokeswoman Constantia Dimoglidou.

After police intervention, Hasani was injured and transported by ambulance to Attikon Hospital, and is reported to be out of danger.

During the search, no means of identification of the Albanian was found, while the Greek police discovered an arsenal of weapons in his possession. Authorities seized two pistols, a revolver and a bag with six grenades , which was found near the scene. The area was immediately cordoned off, while anti-explosive experts carried out checks to neutralize the ammunition.

According to Greek media , Astrit Hasani is suspected of having connections with underworld figures and nightlife in Greece. Investigators are also verifying his involvement in previous incidents involving weapons, while the Organized Crime Directorate has taken the case under investigation.
