A 37-year-old wanted man has been arrested by the Police. He is accused of destroying a business, more specifically a furniture store, with fire.
The arrested man is Bledar Balliu, who in a video released by the police, appears setting fire to a furniture store. The latter is owned by Eduart Aliko.
"Crime Investigation Specialists at the Vlora Police Station, in continuation of their work to prevent and combat illegality, as well as to apprehend wanted citizens, in cooperation with Police Station No. 6 Tirana, made it possible to locate, apprehend and detain the citizen:
BB, 37 years old, resident of Vlora.
This citizen was declared wanted after the Vlora Judicial District Court, on 13.01.2026, had imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him, for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property by fire".
From intensive investigations, conducted over several months and with the use of special investigative methods, it was documented that on 11.11.2025, in the early hours of the morning, in the "28 Nëntori" neighborhood, in Vlora, the 37-year-old burned the first floor of a private entity.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Vlora Prosecutor's Office for further action," the Police statement said.
