The former mayor of Patos, Rajmonda Balilaj, appeared today at SPAK, where a hearing was held to verify the security measure against her, for the criminal offense of violating equality in tenders on two occasions and forging documents while she was exercising her duties.
Balilaj is being investigated with the security measure of suspension from the post of Prefect of Fier District, while he was supposed to appear 4 days ago at SPAK, but he was abroad.
Balilaj himself said that he was not in Albania when the measures were taken and that he himself came to familiarize himself with the investigations.
"I was not in Albania when the measure was given. I came to familiarize myself with the investigations. I've been questioned before. I cannot say how many tenders "Genti 001" participated in and what problems it has. They were the material basis. I will definitely respond to justice, I do not agree with the suspension from office", said Balilaj.
