Mikel Ndoj stabs his daughter in Durres

The testimony of the father who stabbed his 24-year-old daughter yesterday in Durrës has been revealed.

The serious incident occurred on Monday morning, when the father, after a family conflict, stabbed his daughter at her workplace. The 24-year-old's colleague, who intervened to help her, was also injured during the conflict.

In his testimony, the 56-year-old says he was under the influence of alcohol when he committed the crime, while expressing remorse and pleading guilty.

According to him, the reason for the conflict was the daughter's constant ignoring of her father.

We recall that 56-year-old Mikel Ndoj had been separated from his wife for years, then ended up in prison in Italy, and upon his return to Albania, he insisted on returning to his family.

"I went to the girl's workplace because she wasn't answering my phone. I want to reunite with my family but the girl has had a negative impact. She didn't want to have anything to do with me anymore, she ignored me, she ignored me. I went to tell her that I wanted to talk to her, but she told me that I don't want to have anything to do with you, she doesn't exist for me anymore. At this moment my eyes darkened, I told her let's go outside for a bit so we can talk. She pushed me away.

I don't remember what happened. There was also a boy there who intervened at that moment. While he was trying to get me away, he was also cut by the knife. Then I ran away and hid somewhere near the fire department. That's when I realized what had happened. I was in a serious psychological state and had consumed alcohol. I am very sorry for what happened. I have repented a lot. I apologize to the girl and the boy who was injured. I didn't know the boy at all. I don't know what to say, I feel very bad", Mikel Ndoj, the 56-year-old who injured the girl and her work colleague, is reported to have stated, among other things, to police investigators.

At the time of the arrest, approximately 6 hours after the incident, the police found him in a serious psychological state and under the influence of alcohol. The injured are in the Durrës Regional Hospital, under the care of doctors and out of danger to their lives," says 56-year-old Mikel Ndoj.
