English police have arrested 5 Albanians, after they were wanted by Italian justice for various crimes, mainly drug trafficking.
To escape facing Italian justice, they had chosen England as a hiding place.
Fation Haskaj appeared before the City of Westminster Magistrate Court on Tuesday . The 41-year-old is charged with attempted murder and wounding.
Geraldo Bejaj has been arrested in the Cottage Grove area of London. The 35-year-old Beja is accused of drug trafficking and being part of an organised crime organisation.
According to Italian media, he co-led this criminal group with a Moroccan. They are responsible for the trafficking and sale of several tons of cannabis transported from Albania.
Meanwhile, 41-year-old Mariglen Qefalia has also been arrested on behalf of Italy. He faces 14 charges of drug trafficking.
Meanwhile, the extradition review process began against Fation Haskaj on charges by Italian prosecutors related to attempted murder.
Another wanted man by Italian justice, Gëzim Topalli, has been arrested in the Harrow area of London. Topalli, 41, has an open record with Italian justice as he is accused of 10 counts of drug trafficking and as many counts of robbery of valuables.
