
7 packages of cocaine were seized in a cargo van at the port of Durrës, while two people were arrested.

The cocaine was found inside the double bottom created in this cargo van, under the driver's seat. The cocaine was packed in vacuum bags to avoid detection by anti-drug dogs.
So far, two people, 38-year-old Arjan Doçi and 39-year-old Mentor Çuni, have fallen into police custody, while investigations are continuing to implicate others in this traffic network. They turn out to be cousins, sons of aunts.
TCh learns that the van where the cocaine was found belonged to the "Bledi Trans" company, which transported items and packages from the Albanian community to England and brought them to Albania. The van followed the route Albania - Italy - England.
For the case, the investigations wanted to take place in both countries. The Directorate for Foreign Relations in the State Police has notified the English counterparts to get more information about who is behind the "Bledi Trans" company, which is registered in England.
Likewise, the Directorate of Criminal Police is known to have contacted the British NCA officers in Tirana for other joint investigations, towards other Albanians in England and Albania involved in this traffic line.
The Directorate of Criminal Police in the State Police, together with that of Migration and Border, are part of the joint task force Great Britain Albania in the fight against illegal immigration and organized crime.
