New details have come to light regarding the Republic Guard employee who shot himself with his service weapon today.
It is learned that the officer was one of the people accompanying the head of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, as the event was accidental.
The officer was cleaning his service weapon when he accidentally shot, causing wounds to his hands and legs.
He was sent to the hospital in Trauma, as it is reported that his condition is out of danger for life.
" On 24.05.2024, around 18:00, a FS citizen, 28 years old, an employee of the Republic Guard, who is suspected of self-injuring himself with a service weapon, presented himself to receive medical help at SUT.
In relation to the case, the AMP has been notified, and in cooperation with the investigative group, work is being done to clarify the circumstances of the event ," the police announced./ GazetaShqip
