A mega-operation to crack down on criminal activity in the field of narcotic plant cultivation has been extended to Krujë, Kurbin, Mirdita, Vau i Dejës and Shosh, Shkodër.
210 police forces from the respective police stations, the Special Force "Shqiponja" and FNSH groups were involved in the operation.
Also, 12 Police drones were used to control deep mountainous areas and those with difficult terrain.
During the mega operation, 3095 cannabis sativa plants and seedlings (1600 seedlings and 1495 cannabis plants) were identified and destroyed.
8 people have been declared wanted by the police as suspects involved in this criminal activity.
Krujë: During the control in the territory of Bruz Zall village, Cudhi Administrative Unit, Krujë, by the services of the Krujë Police Station, the Eagle forces of DVP Tirana and Fnsh Tirana, 300 suspected cannabis sativa narcotic plants were found and destroyed.
Lezhë: During the control in the area called "Bjeshket e Kaçinari" in the Kaçinar Administrative Unit in Mirdita, the services of the Mirdita Police Station found and destroyed 500 plants and 1,600 seedlings cultivated in cubes, suspected of cannabis sativa.
Also, by the services of the Kurbin Police Station, 241 suspected cannabis sativa plants were found and destroyed in the village of Kuqna of the Milot administrative unit, as well as 16 other suspected cannabis sativa plants in the village of Zheja of the Mamurras administrative unit.
Shkodër: During the control in the village of Dardhë, Shosh Administrative Unit, Shkodër, by the services of the Shkodër Police Station, 180 suspected Cannabis Sattiva narcotic plants were found and destroyed.
In Vau i Dejas, in the village of Dush, Vau i Dejas Administrative Unit, by the services of the Vau i Dejas Police Station, 200 suspected cannabis sativa narcotic plants were found and destroyed.
In Vau i Dejëa, in the village of Vig, the services of the Vau i Dejëa Police Station have found and destroyed 58 suspected cannabis sativa narcotic plants.
The investigative structures, based on police intelligence, have announced in the police investigation 8 citizens suspected of being involved in this criminal activity, and the work continues to accompany them in order to clarify their position, whether or not they are involved in this criminal activity.
Meanwhile, in cooperation with the respective Prosecutor's Offices, in-depth investigations are continuing to clarify and document the authority of these cases.
