A 27-year-old man who was wanted has been arrested by the police after cultivating 180 cannabis plants in the village of Mnelë.
His 17-year-old accomplice has been declared wanted.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old's father has been released on bail after a search of his apartment found a shotgun he was carrying without a permit.
"Following the investigative and operational actions within the framework of the anti-cannabis police operation, codenamed "Coordinates", the Crime Investigation specialists of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat arrested and detained citizen PN, 27 years old.
This citizen was declared wanted after investigations conducted with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, suspected that a collaboration with a 17-year-old, cultivated 180 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants, in the village of Mnelë, which were found and destroyed by the Police services, in June. Work is underway to capture the 17-year-old.
Following the procedural actions, a search was conducted at the apartment of citizen ZN, 62 years old, the father of the arrested citizen, where a shotgun that the 62-year-old was carrying without a permit was found and seized. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office and criminal proceedings were initiated against the 62-year-old.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra, for further action," the police announced.
