Laert Haxhiu, author of the Lushnja massacre, will be extradited to Albania. Haxhiu, the young man from Lushnja who was arrested in Greece, has denied being the author of the Lushnja massacre with two killed. Laert Haxhiu is suspected of being the main assassin of the event of September 11, 2017, where Jurgen Hoxha and Zamir Latifi were killed in the center of the city of Lushnja.
Haxhiu is suspected of being the main author of the pistol wounding of Saimo Xheli, an event that happened on September 25, 2016, where in the same year he tried to execute Aldo Bare's nephew, Xjuljo Shkurti, in the center of Lushnja. He was sentenced by the Court of Lushnja to 18 years in prison for remaining attempted murder, a file that according to the data is still in the Supreme Court. For the Lushnja massacre, the Special Court has given two life sentences to Orges Bilbili and Anterio Kaloshi, while the trial for Laert Haxhiu is still in progress.
