A shipment of cocaine from Ecuador that did not arrive in Italy caused a criminal group to kidnap a person and even threaten his family, in order to put pressure on the senders of the goods.
The event that took place in Genoa, Italy, has as protagonists 9 drug traffickers, among them 5 Albanians, who have already fallen into the police's net.
Albanians are identified as; Nevian Vasaj, Andrea Vasaj, Ardian Sufaj, Hane Sufaj and Andiol Jindoli. Referring to the Italian media, they are accused of being a criminal group for the purpose of trafficking in narcotics, importing 100 kg of cocaine, kidnapping and attempted extortion, and possession and possession of weapons.
During the investigations carried out, an undercover agent entered the drug trafficking association, consisting of Albanian, Dominican and Ecuadorian citizens. During his secret mission, monitoring was done through wiretapping, as the gang was ready to import 100 kilograms of cocaine from the port of Guayaquil (Ecuador) to the port of Genoa hidden in bags and transported in a container.
The ship left on November 20, but the drug shipment never reached the recipients. At that moment, the kidnapping of an Italian citizen also happened. He was forced into a car, forced to send voicemails to the suspected drug thief, then threatened family members.
Fortunately, the police arrived in time and arrested the Dominican Joel De Jesus Castillo Tapia and the Ecuadorian Holger Ernesto Wila Quinonez in the act. After the hostage was released and secured, a third accomplice was arrested in Carrara, the Albanian Nevian Vasaj, who was joining other comrades in Genoa.
The development of the investigations made it possible to monitor the escape to Albania of the main members of the criminal group, who meanwhile continued to organize drug trafficking in the Italian territory from abroad, as was ascertained during an anti-drug operation carried out in Spezzino that led to the seizure of a kilogram of cocaine in Arcola and the arrest of the courier used for the transport.
Albanian citizens were also arrested this morning, Ardian Sufaj, organizer of the group, tracked down in Tirana in cooperation with the Albanian police and the Interpol division of the Italian international police cooperation service, Andiol Xhindoli, a resident of Pisa, and Andrea Vasaj, resident in Massa, both participants in the illegal activities of the group of drug traffickers, as well as Hane Sufaj, a resident of Pisa, responsible for the detention of cocaine seized in Arcola last January.
