A massive police operation in the country's five main cities led to the arrest of 233 people accused of distributing drugs in schools and clubs. The group brought from Canada a type of drug 5 times stronger than cannabis, while also distributing synthetic narcotics, very dangerous to health.
In addition to Tirana, the operation was carried out in other cities where RENEA and FNSH forces carried out checks in Fier, Durrës and Korçë.
Investigations into the case started almost 6 months ago. The authorities are said to have documented this criminal activity with wiretapping, keeping an eye on the members and some of them with incentivized purchases. Meanwhile, during the operation, a new type of drug was found which came from abroad, mainly by mail, a type of gelatinous drug.
