A criminal investigation, which first started in the prosecutor's office of Elbasan, then was transferred to SPAK and then ended in the prosecutor's office of Fier, has charged the two doctors and the two nurses who treated Nuredin Duman's wounds in March 2022.
The surgeon, Julian Malaj, the nurse, Uljan Kapllanaj, and the two laboratory technicians, Bledar Bërdalli and Ermal Gjeçi, are accused of the criminal offense of "Discovering the crime" and "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth".
The investigations against the 4 officials of the Fier hospital have already been closed and it is expected that the court proceedings will begin.
