The testimony of the murderer of businessman Ardian Nikulaj, Ruben Saraiva, has been revealed.
It is learned that he declared before the Lezha police that he was in Albania for vacation and has nothing to do with the murder.
Ruben Saraiva has been escorted under strict security measures, from the Reçi prison to the Lezhë Local Police Directorate. After being acquainted with the investigative file and the evidence implicating him in the murder, in the presence of the legal defender appointed by the state, Ruben Saraiva was asked in detail about the murder of the businessman Ardian Nikulaj.
The Portuguese Ruben Saraiva was extradited to Albania on December 31, 2023, after the decision of the Moroccan Court which accepted the request of the Albanian authorities.
For the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj in Shengjin, 3 British citizens and Edmond Haxhia, suspected of ordering this crime, were arrested in England. Even for the latter, the Albanian authorities have sent a request for their extradition from Britain to Albania, but there is still no decision.
The murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj was in the wake of the revenge chain that the victim's family has with the other Lekstakaj tribe, where everything started in 1996, after the execution of Ardian Nikulaj's brother, for paying at a gas station.
