A 30-year-old man from Lezha has been extradited from Albania to Italy, after being accused of organizing the murder of his sister's husband in December 2022.
Gëzim Gjini, it is suspected that, in cooperation with two other citizens, he killed his brother-in-law on 13.12.2022, in Rocca Priora, Italy. The 30-year-old was arrested in our country in August last year. Now he has been extradited to Italy where he will serve the sentence for murder.

The 30-year-old was arrested in Albania, in August 2023, as part of the international police operation coded "Infra Atlas", which at that time was being developed in parallel in several countries and was coordinated by the General Secretariat of Interpol in Lyon.
As a result of the cooperation of Interpol Tirana with Interpol Rome, for the localization, capture and extradition of citizens wanted internationally, a 30-year-old citizen, resident in Lezhë, was extradited from Albania to Italy.
This citizen was declared an international wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Velletri, Italy, with the decision dated 17.07.2023, assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Murder", for which The Italian Criminal Code provides for up to 30 years in prison.
The citizen is accused of being the organizer of the murder of his sister's husband, the citizen murder committed with a cutting tool, in Rocca Priora, Italy, on 13.12.2022, in collaboration with 2 other citizens.
