Friends of 24-year-old Palestinian Rayan Alwan, who was killed in Tirana on February 22, have told of how they lost contact with their friend.
For more than a month, they had been searching for the 24-year-old with whom they had lost contact, but it was the published news that helped reveal the tragic fate of their friend.
They say that initially her mother announced that her daughter had died in a car accident, but that they did not believe it due to their knowledge of family conflicts.
“She left Berlin on February 19, 2025, and by February 21, 2025, we had lost all contact with her. We searched for her and contacted everyone we knew, but we found no information until her mother announced her death on March 28, 2025, claiming she had died in a car accident in Germany.
However, we did not believe this, as we found no evidence that she was still in the country. After searching the internet, I found a police report from your authorities confirming that she had been killed , ”they said in their response to “News 24”.
