Henrik Hoxhaj testified today before the Criminal Court of Kosovo (GJKKO) in the "Golden Bullet" trial, revealing details regarding the assassination attempt that injured the justice minister, Nuredin Dumani.
The assassination attempt on Dumani occurred in March 2022 in Papër, Elbasan, and the wounded man was transported to Fier, where he was captured by police forces.
In his testimony, Hoxhaj recounted the moments when Dumani called him while he was injured. According to Hoxhaj's testimony, Dumani asked him to take him to Durrës, but unable to go to the coastal city, he transported him to Fier.
" After the event, I spoke with Nuredin on the phone. I felt a little embarrassed, but I didn't say anything because the target wasn't executed. We talked about the "Ot" issue with Nuredin."
The second time I waited for him in Kukës, I went with a rented BMW. I sent someone to rent the car. We met in Kukës and went to Fier, we went to the house of Altin Kule, a friend of mine, no one was living there, it was empty.
I told him I needed the keys and that was it. Nuredini was wanted at the time. I knew Oti Kila before. We were going to take measures to execute him, then it happened that he went to prison for the engine work and that conversation was over. Nuredini had information that Oti was sheltering Talo Çela. I have seen him several times at his business, he sold cars in Elbasan, somewhere in Bradashesh. We did not include Skerdi Tasen at all. Nuredini asked me not to tell Skerdi his location because he was wanted. I went to Oti's business, I did not see him there and left. When we could not find him, we returned to Fier with Nuredini. I had a Benz, I rented it in Fier.
Nuredin had a BMW X5, I had taken it from Kamez in Tirana. I took it from Aleksandër Baho “Sakati”. I took the car with Skerdi. Skerdi happened to take it, I didn’t take it with me. I didn’t have any weapons, the weapons were in the “work car”, that’s where the weapons were needed.
Nuredini had tested the weapons, we shot from there from the Semani bridge. I had no connection with anyone in Elbasan. I was in Elbasan the day we were arrested, while Nuredini was in Peqin waiting for me. As I was passing through Cerrik, I was stopped by some police officers in Cerrik. I gave them 20 thousand lek and they let me go.
Then Nuredin wrote to me, saying “Oh, my dear, come on, they killed me.” I went there, took Nuredin, picked up “Lilliput” and got in the back of my car. I also took the two guns. He told me to take him to Durrës. I couldn’t take him, so I took him to Fier. I took him to the house where he lived.
I called an acquaintance of mine, Bledin. I told him I needed two doctors. I showed him the gun and told him to come because he couldn't come to the house. I saw Nuredin's lip was black. They told me the bullet must have gone into his stomach. We couldn't get him into the hall, I forced them to pick him up there to save that bastard.
Then the police came there, I don't know how. I kept Nuredin in the middle of Tirana. Then Nuredin sold us all out. We killed 100 people like Nuredin did.
"When I asked Nuredin about the incident, he told me there were 4 people, 3 with masks, the driver without a mask was Talo Çela. I didn't believe him, but that's what he told me," Hoxhaj testified.
