The Police of Rome together with the Guardia di Finanza, coordinated by the Antimafia Directorate of the District of Rome, executed 5 arrests against four Italians and one Albanian, who are accused of various crimes of drug trafficking.
Italian media write that the investigation stems from a large seizure of hashish and cocaine, approximately 80 kg, carried out in March 2021, as part of a wider investigation which ended in December 2022 with the execution of a restraining order against 5 people, including a character associated with the "Ndrangheta" .
Subsequent investigative investigations made it possible to investigate other subjects, bringing to light the existence of a criminal scenario in the geographical area of the Roman neighborhoods of FIDENE-TUFELLO, characterized by two distinct groups dedicated to drug trafficking. During the investigations carried out through both wiretapping and environmental wiretapping, several drug dealers who were responsible for coordinating the routes were identified and arrested.
