An anti-drug operation conducted by the Guardia di Finanza in Italy has led to the arrest of an Albanian citizen suspected of drug trafficking.
According to Italian authorities, agents carried out a search in the city of Merano, where they arrested an Albanian resident of the area near the Passirio River. The person in question is known to law enforcement, as he was previously on the police register.
The investigation led agents to a garage in the Maia Bassa area, where the suspect had been observed entering. During the search of the premises, which turned out to be registered in the name of another person, officers found 914 grams of cocaine divided into several blocks, as well as 2,750 euros in cash.
