Two people have been arrested by the police as part of the operation codenamed "Same", after cracking down on two cases of drug distribution in Tirana and Kruja.
A 30-year-old man was arrested in Tirana, who was stopped on "Mine Peza" street while driving his vehicle. During the search, police found a quantity of suspected cocaine. Later, during the search of the apartment he had rented, another quantity of the same substance was discovered, which was suspected of being kept for the purpose of sale.
In a second case, in Kruja, a 19-year-old man was arrested. During a search of his apartment, police seized 256 grams of suspected cannabis sativa, which was suspected to be intended for distribution in the city.
As part of the operation, the arrested persons' cell phones and the vehicle used by the 30-year-old were also seized.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics".
