The police prevented a serious incident last evening in Velipoja, where a fight between young people could have had consequences for life.
During a fight between two young men, a 19-year-old man took out a knife to hit the 22-year-old man, but luckily he was stopped in time by the officers, who arrested him.
While the 22-year-old accused of punching the teenager has been criminally prosecuted.
"He punched a 22-year-old citizen, he was caught by the Police, he just took out the cutting tool (knife) to use in the conflict, and the 19-year-old was put in handcuffs. The 22-year-old is being prosecuted, after he punched the 19-year-old. The cutting tool (knife) is seized.
At noon yesterday, immediately after the announcement of a conflict between some young people, for weak motives, in the parking lot, in a subject in the center of Velipoja, the services of the Velipoja Police Station went to the scene, to prevent the escalation of this conflict and to bring before the criminal responsibility, the author/s.
As a result, he was caught as soon as he took out the cutting tool (knife) from the vehicle, to use it in the conflict, and the KS citizen, 19 years old, was arrested.
In addition, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status, for the citizen KT, 22 years old, because during the conflict, he punched the arrested person.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Shkodra General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
