RENEA arrested Kreshnik Farrukun in Durrës on Saturday evening. His arrest was ordered by SPAK.
Farruk surrendered a few days ago to the Durrës Police, while the court sentenced him to house arrest.
But it seems that Farruku has open accounts with SPAK, in addition to extradition to Italy in connection with the criminal activities they have developed within the structured international organization they lead.
The two brothers, Kreshnik Bodlli (Farruku) and Erneo Farruku, known for their involvement in a criminal drug trafficking clan, decided to surrender to the Durrës Police.
Who is Kreshnik Farruku?
Kreshnik Farruku (Budlla) is a well-known name in the world of crime, who has used 10 names to escape justice, as he is better known as Kreshnik Farruku. In May 2019, he was arrested in Spain, along with his brother and another member of the tribe.
Budlla was handcuffed in a hotel in Madrid after several months of investigation and pursuit by the police, as he was wanted in Spain and Italy for cocaine trafficking and theft of several apartments, while he was also investigated for a murder in Spain. According to the Spanish media, Kreshnik Budlla was suspected of killing his boss in Spain in 2010, due to drug deals. But after the investigation, the Spanish prosecutors concluded that the murder had been prepared by Devi Kasmi, who was killed in an assassination attempt in January 2018 in Tirana.
In May 2010, Farruku was arrested along with seven other gang members in Barcelona with 20 kg of cocaine he was trying to smuggle into Italy by car. After his imprisonment, it was the younger brother, Erniu, who took over the leadership of the group, but was arrested two years later in 2012. In 2014, Kreshnik Farruku escaped from prison while continuing to deal with drug trafficking , until he was arrested in 2019.
In 2015, Kreshnik Farruk was assassinated in Albania. He was in the company of his brother-in-law, Rinald Budlla, and two friends, when he was shot in the "Don Bosko" area, while a passerby was injured. The track at that time was related to the disruption of drug deals in Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, in 2012, the Court of Durrës imposed a preventive seizure on assets that reach a total figure of about 1 million euros in his ownership. According to the Prosecutor's Office, these assets were suspected to have been created by his illegal activities and were used by his two family members, Reshit Farruku (father) and Roland Farruku (whose brother was assassinated in 2014 in Manez), residents of Shijak in Durrës.
The investigations showed that Reshit and Roland Farruku had bought a property worth 920,000 euros in the Lalzi Bay area, as well as having a bank account in the amount of 6,271,000 lek that was seized.
