The health condition of Melisa Trëndafili, who was doused with gasoline by her husband Bledar Trëndafili, who then set her on fire, is deteriorating.
Sources from the regional hospital of Korça informed that the 31-year-old woman went to the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital with multiple wounds on her body and high degree burns to receive more specialized treatment.
The police have set up checkpoints to arrest the suspected perpetrator. Meanwhile, a neighbor who gave her first aid, declared off camera that after the woman was burned, she knocked on their door and together with his wife helped her put out the flames.
"I saw a man who in the middle of the road right next to my house sprayed a woman with gasoline and then set her on fire. The terrified woman knocked on the door of my house and together with my wife we helped extinguish the flames of the fire. We removed all the clothes from his body and dressed him, but the wounds, except for his face and legs, were large and almost the whole body had many wounds. We notified the police and the ambulance, who came quickly to the scene ", said the neighbor.
In the meantime, it is also learned that Bledar Trëndafili has also put pressure on his wife, who lives on rent in one of the alleys of neighborhood No. 1 near "Republika" Boulevard.
He asked his wife to give up the divorce process, but she was against the reunion.
