The Greek police have arrested the 28-year-old Albanian Dhimitri Çiço, suspected of dozens of criminal events, including murder.
The young Albanian, known as Nektarios Karakalios, a person of high social risk, also involved in the criminal event, where he opened fire on another Albanian criminal group "LIONS", based in Athens.
The 28-year-old man has been arrested several times in the last 13 months for murder, attempted murder and other minor crimes, but was released.
Dhimitri Çiço alias Nektarios Karakalios, is a suspect in the murder of the Afghan citizen Bahman Rasuli, 35 years old, event that happened on March 8, 2024 in Athens.
According to the Greek police, the incident happened after a clash between a group of 7 Albanians and 6 Afghans.
Dhimitri Çiço first opened fire on the Afghans without hurting anyone, and as soon as the latter responded to the group of Albanians, the 28-year-old Albanian shot again, killing Bahman Rasul.
After an almost 1-month investigation of this event, the Greek police managed to identify the 7 Albanians involved, in different roles. Specifically, they are Bledi Alushi, 19 years old from Fieri, Akil Topi 66 years old from Elbasan, Spiro Alushi 23 years old, Thanas Alushi 25 years old, Skerdi Dragoti 24 years old and Anxhelo Cenkaj 18 years old.
All the suspects have been arrested except the citizen Akil Topi, who continues to be a wanted person.
Precedents of suspects
The 7 Albanians suspected of participating in the clash with the Afghans are not unknown names to the police.
1. Dhimitri Çiço alias Nektarios Karakalios was arrested before, in cooperation with members of the "LIONS" group, they killed the 40-year-old from Delvina, Pëllumb Islami, on 21.02.2023 in Athens. On February 8 of this year, he was arrested for the attempted murder of his wife, participation in the attempted murder of 6 people in two different events and for striking an Albanian bar. There are also precedents for "carrying weapons", "theft" and many other crimes.
2. Bledi Alushi was arrested on February 8 together with Çiço for participating in the attempted murder of 6 people in two different events and for striking an Albanian bar with a weapon. There are also precedents for "criminal organization, "carrying weapons", "robbery", "serious injury", "explosive explosion in attempt", "arson in attempt" and many other crimes.
3. Spiro Alushi has precedents for "robbery", "intimidation", "slight injury" and other crimes.
4. Thanas Alushi has precedents for "slight injury" and other offenses.
5. Anxhelo Cenkaj has precedents for "criminal group for distribution of narcotics" and other crimes
6. Akil Topi has precedents for "criminal group for distribution of narcotics", "robbery", "abduction of minors" and other crimes.
7. Skerdi Draguti has an easy precedent.
