"Arian Gosa threatened me twice that he would kill me and my family, so I killed him."
This is what Habib Rexha stated before the investigative group, regarding the execution carried out on the afternoon of May 21 in the city of Kavaja.
In his statements, Habib Rexha explains how he prepared the murder of Gose, as well as the fact that he bought the pistol-type weapon at the border with Kosovo for 200 Euros.
"I had met Arian Gosa twice before the incident in the city of Kavaja while I was helping my brother in his business. Every time he saw me, he told me that he would destroy me and my family. Feeling scared and anxious that any of my family members could suffer the fate of my late brother, Altin Rexha, I went to Kukes on the border and got in touch with a Kosovar, who I asked to find me a gun fire. He provided me with a TT pistol that I bought for 200 Euros", he said.
Further in his testimony, he says that he got the idea to kill Arian Gosa as soon as he saw him at the bar where the incident happened.
"On May 21, after staying at my brother's work until 16:00-17:00, I took the Volkswagen Tuareg car and went to the bar where the incident happened. Meanwhile, I had the pistol with me and I had it loaded. As soon as I got to the stairs of the bar, I noticed Arian Gosa accompanied by another person, whom I did not know. Immediately I had the idea to kill him, I took out my pistol and shot him. Then I ran away and took the car which I had left about 200-300 meters away", he continued.
Before the investigators, Habib Rexha showed remorse, however he added that he did everything out of fear.
The murder of Arian Gosa is a continuation of the clashes between the Gosa and Rexha families. This conflict has its origins since March 29, 2023, where Edmond Gosa, the victim's brother, and Altin Rexha, also known as Sali, the author's brother, Habib Rexha, were killed in Kavaja.
