A 26-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by Italian police, suspected of being part of a drug trafficking network operating in the Ascoli area.
The operation took place in the Tronto valley, where authorities seized a quantity of cocaine as well as 4,500 euros in cash, considered material evidence.
According to sources, agents had put under surveillance a group of Albanian citizens, suspected of drug distribution in this area, who are now also under investigation by Italian authorities.
The citizen with the initials CV, 26 years old, known for previous criminal records, was arrested. He was caught while delivering a quantity of drugs to his compatriots.
During the search, police found over 25 grams of narcotics and the amount of 4,500 euros in cash.
Meanwhile, another Albanian citizen, MA, 28 years old, has been criminally prosecuted and has been ordered to be immediately deported from Italy.
