Three people who have been declared wanted in our country, have been arrested in Germany, France and Georgia.
As part of the coded police operation "Sete", the citizen Alban Skonja was arrested in France.
As part of the police operation coded "Batumi", the Turkish citizen Yalcin Hanci was arrested in Georgia.
As part of the police operation coded "International", the citizen Kridens Mecollari was arrested in Germany.
All 3 of these citizens will be extradited to Albania.
As a result of the exchange of information between the State Police and partners, 3 operations are finalized for the capture of 3 citizens declared internationally wanted.
Following successive operations with partners, for the capture and extradition of citizens declared internationally wanted, the State Police, through information intelligence, has provided information on the location of several citizens declared internationally wanted and has exchanged them with partners , in order to locate these citizens.
In this context, 3 operations have been finalized, as a result of which 3 citizens wanted internationally were captured and arrested with the intention of extradition to Albania, namely:
-As part of the police operation coded "Sete", the French Police have caught in France and arrested with the intention of extradition to Albania, AS citizen, 40 years old, resident of Durrës. For this citizen, the Court of Durrës has set the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and military ammunition", "Providing the conditions and means to commit murder" and " Organized criminal group". Citizen AS is accused of having, in cooperation with citizen IF and other citizens, planned the murder of citizens GH and AH, providing vehicles, firearms and apartments for rent, but were unable to carry out their murder.
Also, the citizen AS is suspected that on 02.07.2023, in the region of Balarus, France, he was involved in a case of receiving a sum of money (40,000 euros), through the threat of a weapon, within the framework of an organized gang.
For this event, the Anti-Falcon Itinerant Crimes Unit in Albania and the National Office for Anti-Falcon Itinerary Crimes in France have exchanged information, as it was suspected that one of the perpetrators involved was an Albanian citizen.
-As part of the police operation coded "Batumi", the Georgian Police have captured in Georgia and arrested with the intention of extradition to Albania, Turkish citizen YH, 49 years old. For this citizen, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Assistance for illegal border crossing", "Structured criminal group" and "Perpetration of criminal offenses by criminal organizations and structured criminal groups". This citizen was part of a criminal group that was involved in the trafficking of human beings to Europe, in exchange for money.
-As part of the police operation coded "International", the German Police caught in Germany and arrested with the intention of extradition to Albania, the citizen Kridens Mecollari. This citizen has been sentenced by the judicial authorities in Albania, with 5 years of imprisonment (of which he has 2 years, 6 months and 25 days left to serve), after on 06.11.2021, after a momentary conflict, in a bar , injured citizen I. Sh. In addition, this citizen has been declared wanted by the authorities of the United Kingdom, for criminal activity in the field of narcotics and for laundering the money benefited from these activities.', the police announced.
