Debates and absences in the courtroom at the GJKKO where the trial on the 'Metamorphosis' file has begun.
The defendants Pëllumb Gjoka, Asmer Bilali and Xhevahir Lita were absent from the session, while Behar Bajri, Edmond Preka, Ardit Hasanbegaj and Oltion Bistri were present.
Due to a family emergency, Edmond Preka's lawyer was not present. Ardit Hasanbegaj's legal counsel was also absent due to health reasons.
During the hearing, defendant Behar Bajri requested that the trial be held behind closed doors, arguing that the media had prejudiced him.
SPAK opposed this request, stating that the legal conditions do not exist to conduct the trial behind closed doors, and the GJKKO dismissed the request.
Due to the absences, the judging panel, composed of Flora Hajredinaj, Irena Gjoka and Etleva Deda, decided to postpone the session to January 30 at 2:00 PM.
Meanwhile, SPAK requested the suspension of the detention period for the 7 defendants.
