The names of the persons arrested today in Kakavija for corruption and smuggling of goods are cleared.
It is learned that Ardit Abria, who was a customs officer in charge of the shift, and Eliod Shurdhaj, a customs officer for physical control at this border point, were put in handcuffs.
Meanwhile, customs officer Arben Marvataj and 3 employees of the Anti-Smuggling Department have been declared wanted by the police. The latter are Fjodor Rucaj, Norion Spaho and Gramoz Shehu.
The police have also arrested 6 drivers of vehicles transporting contraband goods:

2- Thanas Malay
3-Regent Ismaili
4- Astrit Xhaxha
5- Arjan Mustafaj
6- Fatjon Osmani
The structures of the Police Surveillance Agency have stopped on the Kakavijë-Fier road axis 4 heavy tonnage trucks, a trailer with a trailer and a van loaded with various goods, not equipped with the relevant documentation for imported goods, for the purpose of verification of documents, which were provided by the employees of the Kakavije Customs Branch.
AMP seized several tens of tons of undeclared goods, mobile devices and monetary values.
The police are continuing the investigations for the complete disclosure of corruption in order to identify other persons involved in this activity.
