The state police announced today the arrest of 40-year-old Alban Skonja in France, where he was handcuffed for a robbery with firearms that took place on July 2, against several people from whom he took about 40 thousand euros.
Alban Skonja, was declared wanted by the Albanian police after the court of Durrës ordered him to be 'prisoned' for the criminal offenses "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and military ammunition", "Providing the conditions and means for committed murder" and "Structured criminal group".
The 40-year-old is accused of having, in cooperation with citizen IF and other citizens, planned the murder of citizens GH and AH, providing vehicles, firearms and rented apartments, but were unable to carry out their murder.
However, the name of Alban Skonja is also involved in another incident, where the latter himself was injured. In February 2022, he together with his cousins Gentjan and Andi Diva were attacked with firearms by 2 brothers Kastriot and Armando Lleshaj in Mamurras after the conflict over a woman.
The two groups started arguing in the center of Mamurras and then took a vehicle and while walking the Lleshaj brothers shot in the direction of the Hundai type vehicle where the other three people were with the girl.
After his arrest in France, the extradition of Alban Skonja to Albania is expected, where he will be sentenced for the criminal offenses he is accused of.
