A 35-year-old Albanian man was stabbed to death on Corridoni Street, in Prato, Italy, yesterday.
The victim was reportedly surrounded by a group of compatriots, who then stabbed him in the stomach, leaving him dead on the asphalt.
A 21-year-old Albanian man was also found injured at the scene. The young man was stabbed several times, and it is learned that he intervened in an attempt to protect the 35-year-old, who remained the victim.
The victim had no documents with him and has not yet been identified.
The attack, which took place in a public garden in the Via Baracca area, came after a quarrel between compatriots, the causes of which remain unknown at the moment, while it is suspected of settling scores between Albanians.
The perpetrators have fled and are being sought, while the knife used to commit the crime has not yet been found.
Meanwhile, police investigations are continuing at a rapid pace: two people have already been targeted by investigators, but the investigation is in full swing.
