The Greek police have arrested a group of five people, part of a criminal organization involved in the sale of cocaine.
The Greek media report that the group was led by an Albanian citizen, who also had the task of finding clients.
The operation for their arrest was launched last week by the Prosecution Department in Patra, while the persons are accused of drug trafficking in Achaia and Attiki.
The source where the Albanian leader obtained the drugs is not yet known, but the apartments in Piraeus where the cocaine was hidden have been discovered. To cover their tracks, members of the criminal organization used a cafe in Neo Faliro that belonged to a relative of the leader.
It is also reported that members of the drug cartel used codes in order to avoid detection by the authorities.
The selling price for one gram was 50 euros, while half a gram was sold for 30 euros. "Good" customers were also given a price discount, while those who did not pay did not receive until they paid or cleared the debt.
Their clientele was sufficient and in just a few days from May 8 to 23 they collected 5,850 euros from the sale of cocaine and cannabis.
