SPAK has named Gentian Gjyli, the director of the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH), as a defendant. He is being investigated for violating equality in tenders. Gjyli appeared before SPAK today, where it appears he was also informed of his status as a defendant.
The investigations have also included members of the Bid Evaluation Committee, who are suspected of having collaborated in this violation of public procurement legal rules.
Gjyli appeared today at the Special Prosecution Office, from where he emerged with the status of a defendant in a case that raises questions about transparency and integrity in the allocation of public funds for infrastructure investments.
