A group of drug dealers operating in various areas of the city of Durrës, including the beaches, has been busted by the Police.
The operation, codenamed “The Hill 2”, led to the arrest of two young men, who were suspected of supplying users with small doses of cocaine and cannabis sativa. During the checks, officers seized over 100 doses of narcotics ready for sale, money suspected of being the proceeds of criminal activity, as well as cold weapons.
According to the Police, the two suspects were located and arrested in the village of Rrashbull, while further searches of their bodies and homes led to the discovery of a significant amount of narcotics prepared for the market.
"As a result of the operation, conducted by specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section in cooperation with the "Eagle" Special Force, two citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto, DR, 33 years old, and K. Xh., 27 years old, both residents of Durrës.
The two people are suspected of collaborating with each other to distribute cocaine and cannabis sativa in small doses.
They were caught in the village of Rrashbull, and during physical and residential searches, over 100 doses of suspected cocaine and cannabis sativa narcotics, prepared for sale, a sum of money suspected of being proceeds from criminal activity, two cold weapons (a baseball bat and a knife) and three cell phones were seized.
The police announced that the procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Durres, for the criminal offenses of "Production and sale of narcotics", committed in collaboration, as well as "Production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons without permission", the police announced.
