Florenc Çekrezi, the person who participated in the bombing of Talo Çela's apartment, has filed a request with the special court to be released from prison.
The man sentenced to 3 years and 4 months in prison for property destruction has set a financial guarantee in exchange for his release, which was rejected by special judge Rudina Palloj.
Çekrezi told SPAK that he was the one who gave the amount of TNT to Eljo Bitri, who then, together with Nuredin Duman, Henrik Hoxha and Skerdi Tas, destroyed Talo Cela's apartment and Mustafa Subashi's bar.
According to sources, Çekrezi obtained the explosive material from the construction company "Victoria Invest", a company in which he worked as an excavator.
Çekrezi's arrest occurred on May 18, 2022 during Operation "Golden Bullet".
His name came up during the testimony given by Nuredin Dumani, who indicated that he had obtained the explosives on two occasions from Eljo Bitri, who had provided them through his cousin, Florenc Çekrezi, who worked in a construction company.
In October 2021, Florenc Çekrezi escaped an assassination attempt in Elbasan, where during a Kalashnikov barrage, Lulzim Bitri, Eljo Bitri's brother, and Ardjan Çollaku were killed./Oranews
