As we have already said, in fact, there is a quantity of drugs sold and close relations between the Albanian group in Rome and individuals connected or in any case close to Ndragheta in Rome.
It is a debt of a little more than 20 thousand euros that has aggravated the relationship between the Albanian Briken Ndreca, 26 years old, and the Calabrian Alessandro Mazzotta, 25 years old from Polistena.
As we have already said, in fact, there is a quantity of drugs sold and close relations between the Albanian group in Rome and individuals connected or in any case close to Ndragheta in Rome.
A significant episode that fits into a wider picture, which reflects the penetration of the Calabrian 'Ndrangheta in the Italian capital, but also in the centers of Anzio and Nettuno. A fact that has already come to light from the numerous investigations in which the anti-mafia of Rome has triggered the signals for a special investigation into the activities of groups connected to the Calabrian 'Ndrangheta, dedicated not only to drug trafficking, but also to pressures on local politicians and in general, for the control of economic activities.
'You have a big problem with me, remember these words'
In continuation, therefore, in the reconstruction of relations between the Calabrians and the Albanians in Rome, the police, thanks to the interceptions, have documented the tension between the two, Briken and Mazzotta, increasing significantly because the Albanian is obviously irritated by the Calabrians who were impossible to get hold of on the phone.
" And who are you Totò Riina, you have so much to do that you can't answer me...'. And again: 'When will you come to visit me, eh? You haven't resolved anything?'. 'I'll send you tonight' replies the interlocutor, still provoking the anger of the Albanian: "(...) but don't tell me like that that I don't trust you anymore"
And again in a threatening tone: «... listen carefully, I'm telling you... you have a big problem with me... you've never had a problem in your life... I swear... I swear... remember these words well... laugh, laugh... so we'll see who has a good laugh at the end...'.
Always getting vague answers, Briken became angry: '... you never answer me... what a piece of shit you are... you are nothing... go to your father... I want to talk to your father.. . I don't even want to see you, you're a piece of shit...'.
Father's intervention
In the evening, Briken finally receives the call from Mazzotta's father, Domenico. Mimmo called the Albanian, but as the investigating judge reports in the order, before starting the conversation, Brikeni asked the interlocutor to communicate through 'Instagram', with the obvious intention of avoiding possible interceptions by the prosecution.
From what emerged from the investigation, the situation does not improve at all and the clash between Briken and Mazzotta continues in the following days. We will have to wait until April 9, 2020 for a direct conversation between the Albanian and Manuele Mazzotta - meanwhile placed under house arrest - during which the 'origin of the still unpaid debt (drug supply) and the involvement of Italiano Vincenzo in the affair', it is written in the file of the Italian police.
Attempt to clarify
"Everything's fine, I went out yesterday…' Mazzotta starts, '… look, I see you're in good shape… how'd it go, house arrest?'. 'Sorry I'm under house arrest… otherwise I would already be at your house!' replies the Calabrese, while Briken replies: '... exactly, me too, but we're closed now, otherwise as soon as the roads open I'll come down...', referring to the period of lockdown imposed during the peak of Covid-19 infections in 2020.
Mazzotta then gets to the point of contention: "... so let's get this out of the way a bit, because I've heard a lot of things... that I didn't even like, to be honest...'
'I was a Briken prisoner! Not because I don't want to be...'. During the phone call, the Albanian asks Mazzotta: 'What about the friend there, did you hear them? Has he freed himself? (...) yes friend, this is how we can talk to each other because with this... I have to solve the fact that I have many problems down in my city...'.
'I want to understand if you have said a word that is not right'
But then Mazzotta returns to the story of his brother and the very harsh words that Briken addressed to Alessandro Mazzotta in the dialogues held the previous months.
"...you could have avoided saying a few words to my brother! That I was in prison… after all it's not two hundred thousand euros… twenty thousand euros of shit!'. Apparently, the tones get hotter during the conversation , where 'biondo' was convinced to 'remove the record' with the Albanian, as reported by the judge. 'Then let's sit carefully', says Mazzotta to Briken, 'and see the words that have been said and those that have not been said... because I want to understand if you said some words that are not good for my brother. These are things that do not exist...".
The Albanian answered: "(...) I told you, worse than you... I waited two months, I didn't receive a single phone call, everyone knows it well... you can talk to your father-in-law. and Pasquale, who knows well, I said 'I don't want to break the friendship with Manuel'...'. / Taken from "Corriere della Calabria".
