Shkodra was shocked by a serious tragedy where a young mother ended her life in the most tragic way possible, taking her 3 minor children with her. Beyond the dramatic case of Shkodra, beyond the pain and sadness of each of us, it is not the first or similar case that happens in Albania or with Albanian immigrants in the world.
Through a direct link to "Opinion" on TV Klan, Shkodra police director Edmond Sulaj stated that all the suspicions so far are for the suicide of Alma Arraz with her 3 minor children. Currently, he emphasized that there is evidence of domestic violence.
Edmond Sulaj: Referring to the report made by the children's father on May 3, searches have begun to find the wife and minor children, who are considered to have left the house. After the report, the wife's family members were immediately contacted, who informed us that they have not contacted her. A day back on the 4th, a fisherman in the area announced that he had found the body of a child in the Buna River. The investigative team went, made the identification through photography. The corpse showed no signs of violence.
-This is the only detail that makes you think it wasn't a murder?
Edmond Sulaj: I want to add the fact that on the 2nd, Alma Arrazi was in the company of her sister-in-law in a bar at the entrance of Shkodra. It was a quiet conversation, referring to the cameras, he walked towards the exit of the city.
- Is there a camera on the Buna bridge?
Edmond Sulaj: There are cameras, but due to the darkness, the suicide was not detected. Referring to the testimony of the sister-in-law, to whom she told that she was going to leave and that her brother was waiting for her in a taxi, she was treated as having left. With the finding of the first child, a 9-year-old girl, all doubts based on facts lead to the fact that violence was the cause of suicide.
Sulaj said that there is no denunciation made by the 39-year-old, her relatives or neighbors.
Edmond Sulaj: There was no evidence of violence, we have not had any reported cases. Not even from family members or neighbors.
- Have there been attempts to divorce?
Edmond Sulaj: I don't have to go into details, because they are part of the investigation. Investigations continue intensively, we have reasonable suspicions of suicide. Currently, as we speak, the research continues, I take the opportunity to thank the residents of the area who have offered to help, as they are well acquainted with the terrain. /tvklan.al
