The German police have arrested 5 people during an operation against organized crime where, during the controls, they have seized large amounts of cannabis narcotics.
According to the police, 2 Albanian citizens, 2 suspects of Lebanese origin and a person from Dortmund were arrested. They were caught with 180 kilograms of marijuana, which are being investigated for importation and trading of narcotics in large quantities.
Police and the public prosecutor's office in Dortmund had been investigating the undercover group since the fall of 2023. The suspects were said to have imported marijuana by truck from Spain and sold it in Germany.
Police seized around 200 kilograms of marijuana in a house in Bönen, the drug had previously been shipped from Spain through an industrial area in Werl. Investigators also seized additional narcotics, an empty handgun, cartridges and hundreds of thousands in cash.
