The Greek police have handcuffed an Albanian with numerous criminal records who escaped from a prison in France.
Altin Ibrahimi was caught with a Greek citizen transporting over 1 kg of cocaine.
The incident happened in Thermi of Thessaloniki at around 11:30 yesterday, when the police stopped the vehicle with license plate EHA-3962 for inspection. During the check, the driver of the vehicle declared false identity data and showed the police officers obviously forged documents, i.e. a Greek passport with the identity of Dionysios Vlahos, born on 7.7.1983 and a Greek driving license with the same information as above. Then, during the control carried out inside the vehicle, among other things, 1 bag of cocaine narcotic substance in the form of a "stone" weighing 1 kg 62.2 grams was found.
In addition to the forged documents, 2 mobile phones were found and seized from the driver, while the passenger, identified as Agelos Paprikidis, 51, was found and seized with an amount of 3784 euros.
During the control of the driver's apartment, 3 precision scales, an amount of 5,640 euros and a series of obviously forged documents were found and seized, while 5 grams of cocaine and 24,400 euros were seized in Paprikidis' house.
From the verifications carried out by the police, it turned out that the real identity of the driver of the vehicle is Altin Ibrahimi, an Albanian citizen, 41 years old, resident of Panoramatos, Ilia Pileidi 11 in Greece.
The verifications showed that he had an arrest warrant from the Athens Prosecutor's Office for the crimes of criminal organization, forgery, perjury. He has criminal records in Greece for criminal organization, forgery, perjury, extortion, robbery, aggravated theft, arson and illegal possession of weapons, while in March 2016 he was arrested in France together with Agelos Paprikidis for drug trafficking and in the month May of the same year, he escaped from the French prison.
