A Kalashnikov hidden next to 21 packages of cocaine.
This is what the carabinieri discovered during an anti-drug operation carried out between Florence and Pisa and which culminated in the arrest of a citizen of Albanian origin, caught red-handed inside an apartment in Calambrone, transformed into a real drug depot.
The operation was carried out by the Carabinieri Company of Florence Oltrarno with the operational support of the Carabinieri of Pisa.
After monitoring the suspicious movements of the vehicle used by the man for days, police took action, catching the suspect red-handed while he was transporting a bag full of drugs.
During the search, 21 kilograms of pre-packaged cocaine were found in the apartment, as well as three mobile phones, tools for packaging doses, and a hidden arsenal: 1 Kalashnikov, 1 pistol, and ammunition.
He was sent to the Don Bosco prison in Pisa awaiting the validity trial before the preliminary investigation judge.
