The identity and photo of the Albanian arrested in Bolivia, as part of a large operation where the much wanted man from Brazil, Lourival Máximo da Fonseca, was also captured. According to the Ministry of the Interior in Bolivia, the arrested Albanian is Lorenc Hyseni.
It all started with the investigation of the largest load of cocaine seized in Oruro-Bolivia a few months ago, 8.7 tons, which led the authorities to alert neighboring countries and find similar loads in Peru and European countries. The investigation showed that the most likely origin of these shipments came from the Chiquitania region in Santa Cruz.
However, after several operations and after the murder of two people during the carnival, the police forces entered the municipalities of San Rafael, San Miguel and San Ignacio, finally capturing Lourival Máximo da Fonseca, who had many identities in Brazil and Paraguay. Likewise, in Bolivia he had a false identity that he had obtained in 2016. For Bolivian Interior Minister Eduardo del Castillo, Fonseca is not just a "big fish" but a "whale" of drug trafficking.
Together with Fonseca, the Albanian Lorenc Hyseni as well as Walter Rivero Lola from Bolivia, Leonardo Barsad Da Rocha from Brazil, Alvaro Roca Casupa from Bolivia, Joao Batista Da Silva Carneiro from Brazil and Jacop Dick Peter from Bolivia have also been captured.
During their arrest, there was an exchange of fire with the Bolivian special forces, fortunately without injuries. After the police intervention, weapons and other items were found.
"Mr. Fonseca will be immediately transferred to Brazil, since the true identity of this citizen with Brazilian nationality is known, while other citizens with Albanian and Brazilian nationality will first fulfill the relevant sanction within the national territory for crimes of possessing and carrying weapons, attempts murder against members of the Bolivian Police and for the legitimization of illegal profits", assured the Minister of the Interior.
